Eddie Cerino knows a few things about comfort food after growing up with the tasty treats of his grandmother, Carrie. At Eddie ’N Eddie, his new burger, bourbon and apple pie restaurant, Cerino uses leftover dough to make hearty pot pies ($9.50-$11.50). Baked in a cast-iron skillet every Monday and Wednesday, the pie fillings change every week and include chicken, shepherd’s pie, mushroom duxelles and turkey dinner, a popular option packed with roasted turkey breast and sweet potatoes, and topped with cornbread stuffing. “People love a good pot pie,” Cerino says. “We have people calling and asking what the pot pie of the day is going to be.” 14725 Detroit Ave., Lakewood, 440-799-4554,
