Local filmmaker Eric Swinderman wants you to fall for the city all over again.
For the past year and a half he's been working on Cleveland, I Love You — a film of 11 vignettes that feature Hollywood names such as Community's Gillian Jacobs and Cougar Town's Busy Philipps (above) alongside beloved locals such as TV news icons Robin Swoboda and Leon Bibb.
A trailer for the film, which was made entirely in Cleveland, will premiere Sept. 6 as part of Cleveland, We Love You: A Celebration of Cleveland Film at the Capitol Theatre. The event will feature a previous short film from each of the seven directors who contributed vignettes to Cleveland, I Love You, which is set to be released by early 2013.
"People coming out and supporting this event will really be helping shine a spotlight on the community," Swinderman says.
Cocktails and hors d'oeuvres kick off the evening, while a Q&A session with Swinderman, fellow producer Mark Pengryn and some of the movie's directors and actors will conclude it. $25, clevelandweloveyou.com |
