In Tune

We give a listen to the latest releases by Nights, Seafair and Jann Klose
James Bigley II
Nights
Whisper
(Unsigned)
Jenna Fournier's ethereal voice is the centerpiece of Nights' sophomore release, which swings from soft and melodic synth to percussion-and bass-driven beats. Standouts include the windows-down anthem "Mouthful of Sand" and "Rosebush," a worthy soundtrack for summer sunsets. nightsband.tumblr.com
Seafair
Paintings
(Unsigned)
Violin, piano, cello, drums and guitar converge beautifully on Seafair's debut EP. Lead vocalist Chayla Hope's voice rises and falls with grit and grace on songs such as "Just Faded Lines," a soft pairing of piano and violin that builds into a ground-shaking rock ballad. facebook.com/seafairtheband
Jann Klose
Mosaic
(People Records)
Jann Klose came to Cleveland as a foreign exchange student and toured with Broadway shows before focusing on songwriting. His second full-length album is a mix of styles, exuding a reggae/indie-folk vibe on "Four Leaf Clover," while going a capella for a cover of Tim Buckley's "Song to the Siren." jannklose.com
