Sometimes, it's not about prestige, it's just about cash, and isn't above comparing colleges based on their graduates' salaries. The site's "Salary Predictor" tool was created with information submitted by 45,000 college graduates over the past 18 months. It uses average first-job salaries and the cost of four years of college to estimate a graduate's lifetime earnings. Among the seven Ohio colleges listed (unfortunately, the site has no stats for Case or John Carroll University), University of Cincinnati grads are expected to rake in the most with an estimated lifetime salary of nearly $3.1 million. Miami University followed at $2.7 million, while The Ohio State University ($2.4 million), Kent State University ($2.3 million), Wright State University ($2.18 million), Bowling Green State University ($2.15 million) and Ohio University ($2.12 million) rounded out the list.

We discovered Great Lake Brewing Co.'s new Web site,, not only keeps fans of its high-octane brew apprised of what flavors are flowing at its Ohio City restaurant and pub, but also offers a Cliff's Notes version of proper beer etiquette from the metal tank to your pint glass. Though Great Lakes takes great care in its brewing process, the fratboy in you can still screw up optimal enjoyment of the Conway brothers' creations. Don't worry, the pub's online "beer school" teaches that a brew should be served in a room-temperature "beer clean glass," which means it holds a 3/4- to 1-inch head from first sip to last and collects rings of froth along its sides. Glasses that don't measure up will hurt taste and even if frozen mugs work for Budweiser, chilled glasses are a no-no. Now, go to the store, buy a six-pack and practice.
