The perfect date: Going to a comedy club, maybe meeting up first for a drink or appetizer. The evening would be relaxed. At a comedy club, you're there to laugh and have a good time. It's a great ice-breaker. You can see if you have something in common. Plus, over drinks you can let your guard down and it makes you feel a little more easy-going. Afterward, we'd go out to dinner somewhere and hang out for a while.
Something most people don't know about me: I think people may know this, but I love to mimic people's voices, people I see on TV or hear in public. I can imitate almost anyone.
My passion: Family is huge to me. I love my family, and I love being an uncle. I have three nieces and a nephew, and they are the world to me. I also love sports: I'm a diehard Cleveland sports fan and Ohio State fan. I always stand by my teams.
Biggest turn-on: I like a girl who can make me laugh and who can laugh at herself. Someone who is down-to-earth with a sense of humor ... and a cute butt.
Biggest turnoff: In terms of chemistry, if she doesn't have a personality or doesn't contribute much to the conversation. Someone who thinks too highly of herself.
I own too many: Tennis shoes. I can't seem to get rid of them.
My favorite ... place in Cleveland: I love the Tremont and Ohio City neighborhoods. And Browns Stadium, The Q and sports arenas in town. But I definitely love going out in Tremont and Ohio City because you can get good eats and drinks, and it's not too crazy or loud or young, ... and it's easy to strike up conversation with other people. ... book: Braveheart by Malcolm Wallace and The Book of Basketball by Bill Simmons ... musician/band: U2, R.E.M. and upbeat music you can move to. I like a little hip-hop that's catchy. I like Indian music. It has a good beat and vibe. ... sports team: I can't pick one. It has to be every single Cleveland sports team: The Browns, The Cavs, The Tribe ... and Buckeyes. (Not Cleveland, but ...) ... TV show: My favorites aren't on the air anymore. Lost, Nip/Tuck and 24. ... vacation destination: Somewhere all-inclusive with great weather where you can sight-see or relax at a resort. Or, a cruise that stops at different destinations. I like to go to places I've never been before, so I don't have a favorite place to visit. I always want to go someplace new. ... dessert: Chocolate chip cookies (they taste best when someone else makes them and they're fresh, and you get to eat them), brownies, cheesecake, banana cream pie (from anywhere) and French silk pie (from Baker's Square). ... blog: ESPN's Bill Simmons...it's not a blog, but he posts every couple of days and responds to questions in his 'mailbag' that are hilarious. He will answer any question about sports, pop culture or movies. He'll write about Lost.
My usual hangout: Southside in Tremont or Bier Market in Ohio City
In high school I was ... an easygoing guy that got along with everyone.
And now I'm ... easygoing and funny.
My best feature: People always tell me my eyes and smile. I'm also a listener and give good advice.
My bad habit: Being double-minded and procrastinating.
My first kiss: I'm a damn good kisser!
My guilty pleasure: Chocolate chip cookies
How my ex would describe me: She'd say I was a good person, a good guy. Things just don't work out sometimes.
Going out or staying in: Some days you want one; some days you want the other. It depends on the week and how tired I am. Now that I'm getting older and many of my friends are married or have children, it's sometimes tough to go out. So getting together and hanging out, playing board games while drinking and eating is more fun. But every once in a while you get that itch to go out.
Early, late or right on time: Late. But I'm working on it. I joke that I'm on Indian Standard Time. I may be 5 or 10 minutes late to a date.
Dogs or cats: Dogs
Dancing ... yes or no? After a couple of drinks
Twitter ... yes or no? No
My longest relationship: One year
Beer, wine or martinis: I'm a beer guy.
Roses or chocolates: I'd give flowers, something different with maybe a couple of roses mixed in there.
My No. 1 dating rule: Just have fun.
My deal-breaker: Someone who doesn't appreciate family.
I hate when a date ... doesn't open up at all or is too quiet.
But I love when a date ... plays with her hair while you are talking with her. If she is playing with her hair, I think it means she's kind of into it ... and acting all cute.
Worst pickup line: This is from the character Ron Burgundy in one of my favorite movies, Anchorman. "I wanna say something. I'm gonna put it out there; if you like it, you can take it. If you don't, send it right back. I want to be on you."
If I could date anyone: Someone with a good personality and a sense of style.
On a first date I never ... Never say never.
Best place to meet someone: At a tailgating event/bar
Most unusual place I've met someone: I've gone into the bank and walked out ... then walked back in and wrote a teller a note that said, "Could you please call this number?" She did and we went out a couple of times.
My take on Cleveland's single scene: I guess it's not easy.
What I find sexy about myself: I find humor in almost anything. I can go to a movie theater and laugh at something on the screen when no one else is laughing.
Why I'm single? I haven't been lucky enough to meet the right person yet. Or, maybe I have in the past, and it just hasn't worked out.
