Cheap Trick
Seriously, $1,200 for one night in Chicago is a cheap trip? Pretty disappointed in you,Cleveland Magazine. Are you writing for normal Clevelanders or CEOs making millions of dollars a year?
Tony Rinicella
Cleveland

Editor’s Note:
The trip in question was the total cost for a family of four, including airfare and hotel. Of course, you’d be wise to stay a couple days if you’re going drop that much cash on getting there.

Wahoo Brouhaha
In Cleveland Magazine’s recent interview with Walter Goldbach (Life According To ..., August 2008), he said that in 62 years only one Native American has ever talked to him about his creation, Chief Wahoo. In 62 years, he must have gone out of his way to avoid meeting the second one. In 62 years, he never noticed the demonstrators outside the ballpark? Mr. Goldbach said he had a “hard time making an Indian look like a cartoon.” You could say some people are too thin-skinned, but I guess it also depends on what color your skin happens to be.

Choice Words
T
he article “Georgianna’s Choice,” by Heide Aungst (June 2008) is the best article I have ever read in your magazine. This is an article worth passing along. It is a very engaging, truthful, beautiful story. Thank you for publishing this piece of quality work. I would love to see more.

Correction: In our August cover story “Real (Amazing) Estates,” some figures for annual high-end home sales printed in a charton page 118 were incorrect. The correct figures are: 2001, 18; 2002, 31; 2003, 34; 2004, 40; 2005, 45; 2006, 36; 2007, 53.“

I am pretty disappointed by your Best of Cleveland issue. It seems contrived and bought. The best of Cleveland blogger was a HUGE letdown as well. Way to pick a blog that showcases nothing but chains and advertising. With so many great blogs in the city I cannot fathom why you would possibly choose the one you did. Here are some blogs you definately need to check out that blow your Best of Choice out of the water:
Brewed Fresh Daily
Cleveland is a Plum
Chef's Widow
Symon Says
Cleveland Foodie
The Cage Free Tomato
Northcoast Lifestyle
I Heart Cleveland
Political Science 26
I Rock Cleveland
Life, Liberty, & the Pursuit of Your Boyfriend
