World-renowned jazz pianist Joe McBride got the party started for the more than 500 guests with a lively concert of his songs at the 100th anniversary party for the Cleveland Sight Center at the InterContinental Hotel & Conference Center. During the event, Cleveland Play House actors, dressed in period costumes, played the roles of Helen Keller and Louis Braille.
Guests then enjoyed a dinner of grilled beef tenderloin paired with a pesto-crusted Hawaiian mahi mahi and mango compote, topped with sautéed carrots and asparagus along with chocolate bombe with raspberry sorbet for dessert. The night ended with guests dancing to the sounds of the Joseph Claffy Orchestra. The event raised more than $200,000 for the Cleveland Sight Center.
