Cleveland Magazine's Silver Spoon Awards Party
The city’s best restaurants made Cleveland Magazine’s Silver Spoon Awards Party at the InterContinental Hotel the place to be June 1. Presented by McDonald Financial Group, the evening celebrated Cleveland’s unique cuisine while raising more than $145,000 for the Arthritis Foundation. NewsChannel 5’s Alicia Booth and Majic 105.7’s Jimmy Malone served as celebrity co-hosts.

Taste of Cleveland
Food from more than 30 local restaurants — served with a side of live music — will be featured at the 11th annual Bigelow Chevrolet Taste of Cleveland Sept. 1 through 4 at Tower Center Amphitheater. Cleveland Metroparks
Bats, bugs and loads of fun are to be had at the Cleveland Metroparks: Bat Gala (Shelterhouse Picnic Area, South Chagrin Reservation in Bentleyville, Aug. 5 from 6 to 11 p.m.) and BugFest (Garfield Park Nature Center in Garfield Heights, Aug. 12 from 10 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.) For more information, visit www.clemetparks.com. Feast! Party
More than 100 guests indulged their inner foodie during the Feast! Party at The Viking Store in Legacy Village June 14. Partygoers enjoyed cooking demonstrations from The Viking Store Culinary School Director Bob Sferra and Vivo executive chef Michael Herschman. Guests also feasted on dishes from The Melting Pot, Vivo and Stir Crazy. In addition to raffle prizes awarded throughout the evening, an in-store discount was available during the party. Major League Heart Walk
More than 7,000 employees of local companies will join family and friends in taking steps to knock heart disease out of the park at the Major League Heart Walk Sunday, Aug. 20 at 8:30 a.m. The non-competitive three-mile walk starts and ends at Jacobs Field. Music, refreshments and kids’ activities will be a part of this event, and all proceeds will benefit the American Heart Association. For more information, call (216) 619-5150. WOW! Wade Oval Wednesdays
WOW! Wade Oval Wednesdays, a free outdoor concert series presented by National City Bank, continues this month with the Joe DeJarnette Jazz Orchestra, Joe Rohan, Cats on Holiday, NuHu, Doug Wood, Revolution Pie and PANIC Steel Drum Band.
