Cosmetic Surgery and Men

Men had nearly 1.1 million cosmetic procedures in 2007 — that’s 9 percent of the total procedures in the U.S. and an increase of 17 percent from 2006. In a survey conducted by the American Society for Aesthetic Plastic Surgery, men revealed their attitudes about going under the knife.

57 percent of men said they approve of cosmetic surgery.
20 percent of men said they would consider cosmetic surgery now or in the future.
79 percent of men said they would not be embarrassed to have cosmetic surgery.
