Natural Beauty

Lisa N. Viers

In today's culture, it's common to see digital photos heavily altered by software and suddenly deemed "artistic." Photographer Sarah Drazetic of Waite Hill takes the opposite approach with her craft. In her premiere exhibition, The Vibrant Colors of Flowers, running now through Aug. 26 at the Cleveland Botanical Garden, Drazetic's close-up images of flowers are unfettered by computers or her own hands. "I leave [the flowers] in their natural existence," says the mother of three. The editing she does is minimal, such as cropping or removing stray specks of dirt. "I want to show how amazingly bright and vibrant these flowers are." 11030 East Blvd., Cleveland, 216-721-1600, cbgarden.org
