Issue Date: My Turn NE February

We all engage in a little self-diagnosis now and then. But some conditions call for more drastic action. Call your doctor if you experience:

Unusual changes. Weight gain or loss, a sore that won’t heal or a lump or thickening in the breast are all reasons to see your physician.

. Rectal bleeding, blood in the urine or blood when you cough can be signs of something simple. But it can also mean something more serious, including a cancerous growth. Your health-care provider will be able to determine the best course of treatment.

Mood swings. Feeling blue for more than two weeks, increased irritability or a lack of interest in activities you once found enjoyable could be a sign of depression. Your doctor will be able to recommend a solution that’s right for you.
