Erin Belzer is such a city girl, she might be compared to Carrie Bradshaw on HBO reruns of “Sex and the City.”

After all, she is a writer and assistant editor for Summit County Women’s Journal. She’s frequently spotted with her entourage of girlfriends at The Metropolitan Cafe, XO Prime Steaks, D’Vine Wine Bar, Blue Point Grille or Sushi Rock. Her mom even nicknamed her “City” because she’s always longed to live downtown.

What sets Belzer apart form Bradshaw is her addiction to Cleveland sport teams. When she’s not cheering on the Tribe from behind home plate, she’s ogling a big-screen broadcast of a Cavs game at a downtown sports bar. And on her days off, she’s relaxing by the rooftop pool at The Chesterfield in the Theater District.

“The pool is the main reason I moved here in March, because the rooftop deck has a panoramic view of the lake, the stadium and the city from east to west,” says Belzer, 25.

Cleveland-born and Akron-raised Belzer says she can’t imagine living in the ’burbs again.

“My favorite time downtown is after the games when the streets are flooded with sports fans,” she says. “If we won, everybody’s so happy they’re hugging each other, and it’s like Mardi Gras without the beads.”

On that note (to assuage any concerns mama or anyone else may have), Belzer assures that downtown Cleveland is one child in the city.
