Hors d’oeuvres along with a silent auction kicked off the Cleveland Pops Orchestra’s fourth annual G-Clef Ball at Executive Caterers of Landerhaven.
The event’s 160 guests dined on wild mushroom truffle soup, beef filet with Chianti sauce and roasted shallots, along with herb-crusted salmon, saffron spaghetti squash and roasted beets. A special Cleveland Pops Orchestra performance led by conductor Carl Topilow featured pieces from “Wicked,” “Superman” and “The Godfather.”
Afterward, The Plain Dealer was recognized for its support. A dessert of a chocolate box with mousse or pumpkin brûlée capped the evening.
The event raised more than $25,000 for the Cleveland Pops Orchestra.
