6 & 7, $8, $6 seniors 60 and older, and students 13-21. History: Celebrating its 42nd year, Boston Mills Ski Resort hosts artists in June and July.
"People don't expect to see it in the [Cuyahoga Valley] National Park, let alone
a ski resort," says Artfest director Ron Beahn. Artist's Take: "It's pretty, which is very different than setting up on a city street," says jewelry
maker Lisa D'agostino. Boston Mills Ski Resort, 7100 Riverview Road, Peninsula,
Medina Art in the Park
Vitals: July 21, free History: For 40 years, this
Medina County Art League event has raised money to fund scholarships for Medina
County children pursuing a degree in the arts. More than 130 exhibiting artists and
15,00 people are expected this year, says Jo-Ann Rettig-Rau, treasurer of the Medina
County Art League. Artist's Take: "[The festival] is on a square,
so all of the vendors are in one spot," says Jill Geddes, this year's featured artist.
"It's a really nice outdoor setting." Uptown Park, South Court and West Washington

Cain Park Arts Festival
Vitals: July 12, free; July 13 & 14, $5 (13 and older) History: Thirty-six years ago, artist Audrey Feinberg convinced Cleveland
Heights leaders to host an art festival in Cain Park that maintains quality and
budget. "We give them something challenging, beautiful and something they want,"
says festival director George Kozmon. Artist's Take: "I like the
announcements they make to let people know what's going on in a jovial, goofy kind
of way," says fine-art photographer Craig Brabson. Cain Park, 14591 Superior Road,
