From chinchillas to wattled jacanas, the animals were out for the fourth annual Animal Attractions event at the Cleveland Metroparks Zoo’s RainForest.
Local restaurants Fat Cats, Fat Fish Blue, Blue Canyon, Muse, Fleming’s Prime Steakhouse, Sans Souci and Sammy’s provided food for the evening, including sweet potato pecan bites, British Columbia king salmon and Kobe beef sloppy joes. Beatles cover band Revolution Pie entertained.
Zoo employees educated the 600 guests with presentations on orangutans and amphibians, while prizes including two tickets to see Rod Stewart, four club seats for a Cleveland Indians game and Great Wolf Lodge Waterpark passes.
The event raised more than $28,000 for the Cleveland Zoological Society.
