The Western Reserve Historical Society was the venue for a benefit hosted by Shoes and Clothes for Kids. The 150 in attendance had the opportunity to tour an exhibit on display at the museum of Princess Diana. Morton's Steak House provided the finger food and beverages. For a special auction, Continental Airlines donated two round-trip tickets to London along with an afternoon at Althorp, the ancestral home of Princess Diana.
Museum officials and Arts and Exhibitions International, a Cleveland based company that produced and organized the North American tour of the Diana exhibit announced that fifty cents of each ticket sold from the entire Cleveland run will be donated to Shoes and Clothes for Kids.
Executive Director Valerie McCormack gave a short presentation during the evening, as did John Gorman, President of Arts and Exhibitions International. Chair emeritus Allan Krulak and his wife Judy were also in attendance.
