A sold out crowd of 350 was on hand for a live auction to benefit MOCA. First a silent auction with an art theme along with a cocktail reception was held on the second floor of the Cuyahoga County Courthouse. At 8:00 the crowd descended to the main lobby of the courthouse, an elegant Beaux-Arts atrium, to enjoy dinner. It featured petit filet paired with grilled and marinated scampi, herb roasted fingerling potatoes with sea salt and fresh broccoli sauteed in extra virgin olive oil.
Majorie Talalay, who founded teh museum in 1968, was honored during the evening. Steve Zack, acclaimed Christie's auctioneer conducted a live auction with some very impressive artwork represented. Nany Callahan and Bettina Katz served as co-hosts.
The night was capped off with a Champagne toast and dessert.
