As March turns to April and peak bloom season springs upon Northeast Ohio, cherry blossoms will brighten local parks and reservations. Their light pink hue is hard to miss, and luckily for Clevelanders, they’re easy to find around town.

Wade Lagoon

See nature’s art in its element as cherry blossoms bloom along the grounds of the Cleveland Museum of Art. At this University Circle park, enjoy a wraparound of flowers with a waterside view, and see how beautifully they reflect off the crystal-clear lagoon. The Holden Arboretum

Among other foliage like wildflowers and rhododendrons, the garden's impressive acreage of woodlands boasts a sight to see for cherry blossom enthusiasts. Various trails and towers offer unrivaled views of peak bloom that you won't find elsewhere. 9550 Sperry Road, Kirtland

Brookside Reservation

Immerse yourself in a pathway of blossoms at this Cleveland Metroparks reservation in the Old Brooklyn neighborhood. Venture to hubs like the Cherry Grove Picnic Area and see cherry blossoms lining the trails. Towpath Trail

With 472 trees blooming every April, Akron’s portion of the Towpath Trail is blanketed in vibrant cherry blossoms that were planted more than a decade ago by the Japanese Association of Northeast Ohio. Every April, the city celebrates this heritage at the Downtown Akron Sakura Festival, which invites thousands of enthusiasts to tour the trail while enjoying Japanese food, music and crafts. 47 W. Dowtown workers and residents can catch a small glimpse of cherry blossoms on their morning commute as a small showing of trees paint the city pink near picturesque attractions like Terminal Tower and the Moses Cleaveland statue. 50 Public Square, Cleveland
