Ever since winning Chopped in 2025, it’s been a constant cycle of news for Coppia chefs Hedy and Talia Trovato. First, a move from Chesterland to a larger Willoughby restaurant that made more space for exclusive prix-fixe experiences, then some recent recognition from Cleveland Magazine as one of the region’s 50 best restaurants.

Days after the honor, the Trovatos shared that they will be closing their Willoughby restaurant for good.

The couple previously shared in an Instagram post that, while bittersweet, the decision comes as they’ve accepted new roles at Walt Disney World in Florida. The move, originally noted in a since-edited social media caption, was confirmed by cleveland.com.

“Coppia was never just a restaurant,” the chefs wrote on social media. “It was a chapter of our lives written in seasons, in stories, in every plate that left our hands. And like all beautiful chapters, there comes a moment when the page turns.”

The Trovatos are no strangers to cooking under sunny skies, as the couple first met while working at Walt Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort and Spa. The stint catapulted an illustrious career in the Northeast Ohio dining scene that will come to a close when Coppia hosts its final day of service on June 20.

“Thank you for filling our dining room with your celebrations, conversations, and memories for nearly 5 years,” the chefs wrote on social media. “It has meant more to us than words could ever hold.”
