Harmony Hi-Fi, a vinyl listening bar opened in Ohio City.
Food & Drink | By Douglas Trattner
Harmony Hi-Fi, a vinyl listening bar, quietly opened its doors at the end of May. The project was announced in March when partners Christine Somrak and Danny Chedid took over the former Kyuu-juu space on Fulton Road in Ohio City.
Music Picks: Harmony will play everything from Led Zeppelin to Coltrane, likely having nights set aside for specific genres.
A bring-your-own-vinyl night is also being considered, allowing guests to bring their favorite platters.
Food Too: Chef Terrell Locklear has put together a menu of small plates, including grilled wings, chargrilled oysters, salmon bites, flatbreads, Cajun chicken rolls, smash burgers and grilled lamb lollipops.
Somrak's Inspiration: “I visited Parachute vinyl bar in Chicago, and I just fell in love with the concept. It brought back my childhood, sitting around listening to vinyl records with my family. I always liked the tangible music that you can put in your hand.”

Cleveland police officer Bill Leonard had just pulled out of the Sixth District Jail sally port on June 4, 1974, when that call came over his radio.
It was a full moon that night and temperatures were hovering in the 70s. Leonard came west on the Shoreway, exiting at East Ninth Street.
Two naked women ran in front of his car.
“I thought, ‘Oh, it’s THAT kind of a riot,’” he says.
