Why She’s Interesting: You’ve seen her in Hustlers, Chemical Hearts, American Sweatshop and Riverdale — and you’re about to see this Bay Village native in a whole lot more. Lili Reinhart has three upcoming movies set to release in 2026: the horror-comedy Forbidden Fruits, political thriller The Very Best People and rom-com adaptation The Love Hypothesis. “Right now, I’m on this path of making each project I do very different from the last. I don’t want to play the same character twice.”
Midwest Roots: At a young age, Reinhart took ballet, jazz and hip-hop dance lessons at Bay Village’s Emjaez Dance Studio, then, at 12, participated in Olmsted Performing Arts community theater. Later on, she signed with a local talent agency, which, along with Reinhart’s mother, helped her book auditions in New York City. “My parents are not in acting. They were not trying to pressure me to be in it. I think they were just like, ‘Well, why not? My kid apparently is good at this.’”
Local Accent: Since working as an actress, Reinhart has had to work to avoid her Midwest accent, which has given some short “a’s” a two-syllable pronunciation. “Sometimes, rarely, someone will say, ‘Oh, where are you from?’ because they’ll hear some sort of Midwestern something in my voice, and it always makes me smile.”
Side Projects: The star runs Personal Day, a skincare line designed for acne-prone skin, and Small Victory Productions with her producing partner, Catherine Hagedorn, which is designed to champion women’s stories. She also wrote and released a bestselling poetry collection, Swimming Lessons, in 2021.
