The Friday night fish fry in Northeast Ohio is a sacred art.

Like art, each one is unique. There are similarities between them, certainly, but each venue that hosts one can put its twist on the event. Whether it be the way the food is prepared, the atmosphere it is served in or the demographic it serves. Uniqueness, not tartar, is the secret sauce that makes this Lenten tradition so special.

St. Josaphat Cathedral certainly qualifies as unique. Matthew Chasney spent a Friday night at the cathedral in Parma capturing the images.
