Good Night John Boy to open in new location.
Food & Drink | By Liza Marra
Disco is making a comeback and Cleveland is feeling the full effect. Forward Hospitality Group’s disco bar Good Night John Boy will reopen a new Flats East Bank location, at 1167 Front Ave., on May 1.
Stayin’ Alive: Forward Hospitality Group’s flagship Good Night John Boy first opened its doors to the Flats in 2021. From its start in Cleveland, the disco fever expanded to San Diego, Chicago and Columbus, and three locations in Florida: Miami, Delray Beach and St. Petersburg.
Next Phase: Now, Good Night John Boy will make a strategic move within its home city of Cleveland with its new riverfront home. Its former location at 1167 Front Ave. will be transformed into Pour Lolas: A Shot Bar, courtesy of Forward Hospitality.
Disco Never Died: The nightclub concept is elevated to a disco bar at this popular venue, filled with upbeat tunes and 70’s themed drinks to keep you dancing all night. Retro wallpaper, disco balls and a glowing LED dance floor adorn the club, taking you right back to the grooviest era of music.
Michael Schwartz and Bobby Rutter of Forward Hospitality: “Over the past several years, Forward Hospitality Group has grown into a national brand, launching our concepts in markets across the country — but Cleveland will always be our hometown. By bringing our focus back locally, we’re choosing to invest in an even more impactful experience for our flagship John Boy location — kick starting a new chapter for the greater Flats district and helping shape the next phase of our own company’s growth.”

From the Editor
Luck of the draw: This weekend, Lottery League begins anew with its draft night. This event, which takes place every other year, is one of the most unique local music events in the city, and I encourage folks to check it out if they can. Basically, a group of 172 musicians will come together. Their names will be drawn out of a hat to build new bands that write original music, which fans will be able to hear at the Big Show, on June 27. It's the ultimate spectacle of a DIY fest; one built on collaboration and experimentation. - Annie Nickoloff, Senior Editor
