Allison Boersma

President & CEO, Riddell

Education: Master’s degree in management, marketing and finance, Northwestern University; bachelor’s degree in accountancy, University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign

What Motivates Me Right Now: Having a positive impact on the football community by driving player participation and protection for athletes of all ages. Our smart helmet technology changes protection from reactive to proactive and gives coaches, players and parents peace of mind to reduce barriers to participation.

My Leadership Style: My leadership is founded on a solid understanding of the business and providing clear direction and vision for where I want us to go. From there, I like to let people run with it with regular check-ins.

An Important Lesson I Learned: I saw a story once about a father who, instead of asking his kids “what did you do today?” at the dinner table, asked them, “what did you do for someone else today?” I thought that was one of the most impactful lessons for his family and for me.

Outside of Work You’ll Find Me: Playing tennis and pickleball, paddleboarding on Lake Michigan or traveling the world
