Carrie Carpenter

Senior Vice President, Regional Director of Community Philanthropy & Engagement, Huntington Bank

Education: Master’s degree, George Washington University

How I Approach My Day: I’m very mission driven, so I approach each day thinking about how I can help improve our community. I’m lucky to have a career that enables me to do that, and I also volunteer on several nonprofit boards.

What Success Looks Like to Me: Success is having the opportunity to continuously be learning and growing, and having a positive impact.

What I Look for in a Leader: Sincerity, authenticity, enthusiasm and innovation

My Leadership Style: I focus on building long-term relationships with people. I always advise people not to treat others as if they are a transaction. I work to gain knowledge, build trust and collaborate.

Outside of Work You’ll Find Me: I am an avid traveler and cook. I recently accomplished my goal to travel to 50 countries by age 50, and I take cooking classes all over the world.
