Education: The rental industry

How I Approach My Day: I focus on three priorities: people, clients and future growth. I try to balance urgency with perspective. Not everything that is urgent is important, and not everything important feels urgent.

What Success Looks Like to Me: At the end of the day, I measure success by one question: Did we move the organization forward?

What I Look for in a Leader: I look for leaders who take ownership, solve problems and develop people. Skills can be taught. Character, accountability and the willingness to put the team first are much harder to find.

If I Could Trade Places With Anyone: I’d trade places with Walt Disney. He had an incredible ability to take ideas that existed only in his imagination and turn them into experiences that created lasting memories for millions of people.

An Important Lesson I Learned: You can have the best strategy in the world, but if you don’t have the right people and culture, it won’t matter.

Outside of Work You’ll Find Me: On a golf course, in an airport, in a great restaurant or spending time with my family
