Keisha Gonzalez
Executive Director & CEO, LAND studio
Education: Master’s degree in historic preservation, University of Delaware; bachelor’s degree in anthropology, Cleveland State University
What Motivates Me Right Now: The opportunity to help shape how Cleveland evolves during a period of significant leadership and civic transition. I’m energized to align creativity, public space and community voice in ways that expand belonging, dignity and civic connection.
What Would Surprise Someone to Learn About Me: I’m deeply driven by curiosity and wanderlust. I thrive exploring and experiencing how communities shape identity and belonging and find inspiration in the ways people create meaning through food, art, architecture and public life.
An Important Lesson I Learned: We have to outgrow what feels familiar, seek new environments and perspectives and remain open to the discomfort that often accompanies meaningful growth.
Outside of Work You’ll Find Me: Training for random athletic challenges. I recently completed my first bodybuilding show.
A Cleveland Spot I Recommend: Clark-Fulton during the Puerto Rican parade
