Education: Master’s degree in education
What I Look for in a Leader: The strongest leaders are willing to make difficult decisions, remain accountable and continuously seek ways to improve what they are leading. They create a culture of trust, growth and collaboration while empowering others to reach their full potential.
Favorite Quote: “A title may give you a position, but your actions determine whether you are truly a leader.”
If I Could Trade Places With Anyone: I wouldn’t trade places with anyone. Every experience — the challenges, setbacks, successes and opportunities — have shaped who I am today. As a first-generation college graduate, a mother and a community leader, I am grateful for the journey that brought me here.
What Would Surprise Someone to Learn About Me: Although my work is highly community focused and often involves being around large groups of people, I am naturally drawn to quiet spaces and moments of reflection. I love animals and find peace in nature.
An Important Lesson I Learned: Lead with your heart, but don’t be naive. Compassion, empathy and genuine care for people are essential qualities of leadership, but they must be balanced with wisdom, discernment and accountability.
