Set all the high scores in arcade classics such as BurgerTime, Ms. Pac-Man and the always-coveted NBA Jam without dropping a quarter at Lakewood's 16-Bit Bar and Arcade. The retro-themed speakeasy offers free-to-play arcade games to those who level up with its craft beer list and clever cocktails with pop culture names such as the Punky Brewster and the Kevin Bacon. "The range of people that we have is quite amazing," says general manager Nicole Lamb, "from 21-year-olds who have never played any of these games to people in their 50s and 60s who are like, 'I played these! These are so amazing!'" On any given night, you'll find gamers lit by the soft glow of pure video game nostalgia and taking advantage of rotating themed nights such as "Deathmatch Monday" or "Two-Player Tuesday," each with accompanying drink and game specials. "We take pride in making fun of ourselves and enjoying the '80s and '90s the way we always remember them," says Lamb. 15012 Detroit Ave., Lakewood, 216-563-1115, 16-bitbar.com/Cleveland
