Ghoulardi would have twirled his moustache at the Mummy and the Monkey’s Thrift Crypt. There’s a reason his show loops on a TV in the window of the Lakewood haunt.

Owners James Harmon and Janet Jawhari-Harmon make their collection of local art, vintage gifts, B-movie memorabilia and retro gear Cleveland-weird. Periodically they dress up for work as a pair of deliciously cheesy horror hosts, Grimm Gorri (he’s the monkey) and Janet Decay (she’s the mummy).

Lovers of Ghoulardi and Big Chuck and Lil’ John — they even bought their wedding rings from Lil’ John Rinaldi’s jewelry store — the duo are serious about Cleveland, digging up rare finds such as Dick Goddard’s Weather Guide and Almanac ($5) and a 1946 city tourism guide ($20).

But it wouldn’t be horror thrift without a prop corpse in a Cleveland Browns hat ($5). “We’ve got the world’s oldest Browns fan here,” says Gorri. “He won’t die until they win a Super Bowl.” 13349 Madison Ave., Lakewood, 330-242-4075, themummyandthemonkey.com
