Don't Battle Bridal Show Season Alone

With a third of all engagements occurring between Thanksgiving and New Year’s Day, according to Wedding Wire, bridal show season has begun. Bridal consultant Kimberly Zahnke shares three tips for perfect planning.

Skip tasting fees
Take advantage of the freebies — especially when it comes to cake. “With bakeries, you typically need to make tasting appointments. [At bridal shows,] all the bakeries will have cake samples.”

Be Prepared
Do your homework and map out a route. “Make sure you’re focused on the type of vendors you want. Don’t waste time looking at somebody who makes brooch bouquets if you want fresh flowers.”

No cold feet
Vendors offer discounts if you book within 10 days of a show. “You can get some incredible deals,” says Zahnke. “Unless you’re head over heels, wait to book.”
