Three Classes To Let Loose Your Curiosity

School is out for the summer, but these classes hit a sweet spot.

Cooking: Add a little Eastern European flair to your recipe box with the Loretta Paganini School of Cooking’s Perfect Pierogi class July 12. Students learn how to make dough and stuff their dumplings with cheese, bacon or even dried plums. “The class only has three parts to it,” chef Tim McCoy jokes. “Make pierogies as fast as you can. Cook pierogies as fast you can. Eat pierogies as fast as you can.” $65, 8613 Mayfield Road, Chesterland, 440-729-1110, lpscinc.com

Photography: Give your Instagram feed some University Circle love with Brandon Stubbs’ photography class July 22. Whether you’re rocking a Nikon or your smartphone, Stubbs can explain concepts such as composition to help capture picture-perfect shots of nature, architecture and more. “There’s so much to shoot in University Circle,” Stubbs says. ”There’s Wade Oval, the lagoon.” $130, 11150 East Blvd., Cleveland, 216-469-7319, buess.us/photography-classes

Golf: Keeping your golf game out of the rough can be a gimme putt if you follow PGA pro and Little Mountain Country Club director of instruction Bryan Huff’s advice. Huff teaches all skill levels but says a lot of his classes — which run all summer — focus on fixing specific parts of students’ games. “I make them do what they do better without re-creating the wheel,” says Huff. $40-$300, 7667 Hermitage Road, Painesville, 440-382-5305, littlemountaincc.com
