Winter Warrior: 3 Boots to Wear This Season

We’re all about letting it snow when our closet is stocked with an arsenal of boots to get us through those brutally cold days. Gypsy Sole co-owner David Walker walks us through the three boots every CLE woman must have.

Snow
Insulated, waterproof and with a treaded sturdy sole, Sorel’s Joan of Arctic boot ($250) was made for Cleveland winters. The platform wedge and leather details keep the boot sleek and sexy, but functional. “The leather is treated so it can cut through the salt and slush of Cleveland sludge,” says Walker. 

Casual
Scrunch the A.S. 98’s Carter midcalf boot ($398) down around denim for a casual look, or pull it over leggings for a sophisticated style. “It has a chunky heel with soft Italian leather that will make your feet feel like they’re having a bowl of chicken noodle soup on a cold day,” says Walker.

Even conservative winter wardrobes need a statement piece. Heat things up with Jeffrey Campbell’s Cienega faux-suede thigh-high ($190). Try wearing with leggings and a chunky knit. “It’s actually really slimming,” says Walker. “It’ll stretch quite a bit. It’ll hug the legs in nicely.”
