Boom’s Pizza to Open in Solon and Avon

Ben Bebenroth launched Boom’s Pizza in Lakewood three and a half years ago. In 2024, the owners opened a spacious new pizzeria across town at Van Aken District in Shaker Heights. Last week, the owners added a slice shop in the Market Hall at the same complex. And soon, Boom’s will add two new pizza shops to the quickly-expanding portfolio.

First up is a new shop in Solon (6130 Kruse Dr.), which is expected to open in August.

“It will be our first carryout and delivery-only shop – no dining room,” says Bebenroth.

Apart from the lack of a dining room (and liquor license), the concept is relatively unchanged, adds Bebenroth. The store will offer a menu that is identical to those found in Lakewood and in Shaker.

One major change, says the chef, is the doubling of oven capacity.

“That will greatly reduce wait times for pizzas,” he says.

Also in the works is a new pizzeria in Avon Commons Shopping Center, which is expected to open in September.

“We’re in the space already and we’re rolling forward on design,” says Bebenroth.

That location will have a small dining room for guests who prefer to enjoy those pies fresh from the oven.
