The Boom’s Pizza expansion train continues this week with the opening of its new Solon  (6130 Kruse Dr.) shop, which is slated to take place at 4 p.m. Thursday, October 22. Chef Ben Bebenroth opened the first in Lakewood back in 2023. Since then, he and his team have added a new flagship spot at Van Aken District in Shaker Hts. and a slice stand in the Market Hall at the same shopping center.

“It will be our first carryout and delivery-only shop – no dining room,” Bebenroth says about the new Solon shop.

Apart from the lack of a dining room (and liquor license), the concept is relatively unchanged, adds Bebenroth. The pizzeria will offer the same menu, the same food and the same service as its sister establishments.

One major change, notes the chef, is the doubling of oven capacity, which will greatly reduce the wait times for pizzas.

Also in the works is a new pizzeria in Avon Commons Shopping Center, which is expected to open in the coming months.
